Dr. Bruna Polonia has dedicated her career to integrative health since beginning medical school in 2006 at Fundação Técnico-Educacional Souza Marques in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She earned her medical degree in 2012 and expanded her expertise into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), completing a master’s degree and internship at Wongu University of Oriental Medicine. During her training, Dr. Polonia worked with a diverse range of TCM specialists, honing her skills in acupuncture and herbal medicine. In 2018, she further enriched her knowledge through advanced training at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China.

After seven years of practice in Las Vegas, Dr. Polonia relocated to the Green Bay area, bringing her passion for patient-centered care to Wisconsin. She worked at an acupuncture clinic specializing in fertility, pregnancy, and women’s health, incorporating supplements, herbs, and nutrition into comprehensive treatment plans. Her practice also addresses general health concerns, pain management, mental health, autoimmune conditions, and chemotherapy support. In addition to her work at Orthopedic Alternatives, Dr. Polonia is also part of the team at Advantage Chiropractic of Green Bay.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Polonia is a professor and core faculty member at Wongu University of Oriental Medicine, where she trains the next generation of TCM practitioners. Committed to serving diverse communities, she continues to see patients in Brazil and is fluent in Portuguese.
